We have arrived!

We are here.  We are in the Dominican Republic.  We arrived last night and Beatriz picked us (Brendan and Judy and our family members) up at the airport.  Beatriz drove through the streets of Santo Domingo with amazing ease, even through a very tight scene of traffic:  three lanes of cars on a street that seemed designed for one lane.  We spent the today orienting ourselves to the area around our hotel.  These turtles (below) are residents of the hotel.  They are the same type (red-eared sliders) that I have in the science classroom back at the Lyndon.  She would be quite envious of their home here.
